This is the light weight Swamp Ash that the early Fenders were often made of. True… it is not as light as those Telecasters. This guitar has two high performance humbuckers, and Grover Rotomatic gears back there where everything balances beautifully, and it is still only 6.1 pounds. I feel that this lightweight Ash body has a very present, clear voice and a real nice personality with these two DiMarzio P.A.F pickups.
